Question
DTimer was designed to explore a funny way of poking fun out at the average internet user's inability to gauge the amount of time they spend online.
Answer
DTimer is a prototype for a Firefox extension that tracks the amount of time you waste on self-chosen websites. It is designed to sit like an alarm clock in the lower portion of your browser window and alert you when you have been on a site longer than you think you should be.
Process
DTimer was developed through simultaneous visual/interactive prototypes and implementation prototypes. I wanted to create a visual aesthetic that was very tactile and an experience that was lighthearted and fun.
